Teaching Assistant Required
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in the Tonypandy area. You will be supporting a student who has Additional Learning Needs who is in KS3 and has Autism. The school are looking for someone who is supportive and patient, and ideally with experience around Autism specifically too. This position is full-time on an ongoing basis (likely to be for the full academic year Sept 2025 – July 2026).
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the update service
* Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
* Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
* Experience supporting vulnerable adults or children
* Patient and caring nature
Teaching Personnel can provide assistance with your DBS & EWC applications
Teaching Assistant Overview:
* Work 1:1 and in a classroom environment supporting a student with ALN
* Escort student around the school campus
* Help students with their understanding of work set
* Manage challenging behaviour within the class
