Senior Care Assistant - Days Edwinstowe, NG21 9PA £15.84 per hour (rising to £16.00 per hour from April 2026) Full-Time | Permanent ⏰ 7:00am - 7:00pm | 3-4 shifts per week including alternate weekends I am currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established, purpose-built nursing and care home in Edwinstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Care Assistant ready to step into a leadership role, or an existing Senior looking to join a supportive service with high standards and clear values around quality care and team wellbeing. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents in a welcoming and homely environment. The Role As Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for leading shifts and ensuring high standards of person-centred care are delivered consistently. You will support residents with daily living while also overseeing medication, documentation, and team performance. Key responsibilities include: Leading the shift and supporting care team members on duty Administering and documenting medication rounds accurately Ensuring care plans and daily charts are completed to a high standard Promoting independence, dignity, and choice for residents Supporting residents' physical and emotional wellbeing Challenging poor practice and promoting best practice standards Assisting with investigations into concerns or complaints when required Conducting bi-monthly one-to-one supervisions with care team members Contributing effectively to handovers and care discussions This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strong care delivery and confident team management skills.
