Cover Supervisor (Secondary School)Location: Crosby, MerseysideContract: Term-time only Full-timeStart: ASAP until the end of the academy year (17th July 2026) An oversubscribed and successful 11-18 Church of England secondary academy in Crosby is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join its supportive and forward-thinking team.This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Cover Supervisors looking to gain further classroom experience in a positive secondary school environment. The roleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment Manage behaviour in line with the school's policies Support pupils to stay engaged and on task To be considered for This Role, you must have: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, or experience managing groups of young people in a professional setting (preferred) Confidence in managing classroom behaviour An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for a new one) A full, up-to-date CV A minimum of two professional references The legal right to work in the UK An overseas police check (if applicable) Qualified Teacher Status is not required for this role.
