Finance Business Partner
Location – Wigan
Salary – £based on experience + bonus
About the company:
A well-established division of a large global manufacturing company, with premises in Wigan. You’ll be working in a broad, commercial role, to support the decision making and ensure financial control.
Responsibilities include:
* Prepare and monitor the operating budget, co-ordinating between different departments.
* Preparation of Management accounts, balance sheets and cash flows
* Forecast future P&L performance
* Managing a direct report, including delivering training plans and encouraging their development.
* Control the Annual Investment Plan and carry out investment profitability studies.
* Define and calculate standard costs (hourly rates, raw material, etc) and control updating of all the variables that depend on other departments and that are necessary in order to prepare the tariffs and pricing/quotations.
* Analyse customer risks and make the necessary decisions in each case.
* Analyse profitability by customer and by product.
* Prepare the annual performance assessment and define the action plan to be followed.
* Monitor main current spends vs Budget on a weekly basis leading a robust forecasting process with the wider business to manage future decisions demonstrating exceptional attention to detail to deliver timely group reporting requirements
Skills/Qualifications required:
* CIMA Qualified accountant with some PQE.
* University graduate.
* Proactive, results-driven self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills.
* Excellent analytical skills, proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
* Good Excel & ERP system skills (ideally previous SAP experience)
