Role Overview
North Lanarkshire is offering exciting opportunities to support children with a broad range of additional support needs. As an Additional Support Needs Assistant (ASNA), you will work with children, some with severe or complex needs, to support their learning and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Assist in classroom activities, including preparing classwork and materials, setting up teaching aids, and reprographic work.
* Care for children, assisting with personal hygiene and maintaining hygiene supplies.
* Manage daily reception and departure of children, along with messenger or escort duties.
Qualifications & Experience
* Recent voluntary or school-based experience working with children is essential.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
* Willingness to undertake training is essential.
* Experience with children with additional needs and qualifications in English and Maths are desirable.
Pre-employment Requirements
Must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member before starting. SSSC registration may also be required depending on the placement.
Work Pattern
Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm
