We're now on the look out for our new future stars, so if you're looking for a new job for that will be satisfaction like no other, look no further as we have some great opportunities to join our fantastic #TeamNorthAyrshireCS covering Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Irvine and Kilwinning.

We various part-time contract sizes available ranging from 16-30 hours per week, but if you're looking for something a bit more flexible, we also have relief contracts too.

Our team and the individuals you'll support

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support individuals with various support needs who live in the Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Irvine and Kilwinning areas.

You'll help with all aspects of daily living, including meal planning, cooking, appointments, household tasks, finances, medication and personal care. You'll also find yourself supporting the individuals with their hobbies and interests, including exploring new places, going for walks, listening to music, activities in the local community and arts and crafts to name a few!

This is a busy and varied role, so if you're looking for a job where no two days are the same, this role could be right up your street!

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

1. Good communication skills
2. A caring attitude and approach
3. A positive approach to learning
4. The ability to cook
5. Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you also have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as there will be travel across the North Ayrshire area involved, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidates.

Shift Patterns

We understand that our colleagues like to have a good work/life balance, so we try to be as flexible as possible with our shift patterns. Our team currently deliver support between the hours from - hours, 7 days a week. Weekends and public holidays would be worked on a rotational basis.

There may be times where an evening shift ends a little later depending on activities the people we support have planned, but you would always have advanced notice.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
