Maternity Cover – with opportunity for a permanent contract
Hours -8 hours a day between 7:35am and 9am and finishing between 4:45pm or 6pm.
GSL Education are working in partnership with a friendly and well-established day nursery in Brough, who are looking to appoint a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner on a full-time maternity cover basis. There is a strong possibility of a permanent contract following the maternity cover period.
This role is ideal for a caring, enthusiastic Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities of an Early Years Practitioner:
* Supporting children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework
* Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
* Building positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers
* Supporting children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs

Requirements of an Early Years Practitioner:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare /Nursery Nurse qualification (essential)
* Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
