Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable SEN Tutor to support children and young people in Morpeth. This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, delivering tailored lessons at pupils’ homes and within the community. You will play a key role in building trust with learners and families, supporting both academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English, Maths, and core skills.
* Adapt teaching for pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and additional needs.
* Work with learners in community and home settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
* Track and report on pupil progress.
* Promote engagement, resilience, and wellbeing.
Requirements
* QTS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring/teaching experience.
* Experience supporting children and young people with SEN/SEMH.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently.
* Own transport desirable.
