Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will support residents across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, ensuring they are treated as individuals with their own stories.
You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. As a senior member of the team, you will lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the rest of the team through your example. You may assist with activities such as helping someone use a walking frame, supporting end-of-life meals, or talking with a resident’s family, always with kindness at the forefront. You will also assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
Another key responsibility is maintaining accurate records of your work and building strong relationships with your team.
Responsibilities

* Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
* Assist with activities, such as mobility support, feeding, and communicating with families.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through activities; administer medication where required.
* Maintain accurate records and foster strong teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SVQ in Adult Care; prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Essential: brilliant positive energy, ability to get along with people, strong record-keeping, good time management, and a kind, considerate approach in all interactions.
