Role: Bid Manager
Salary: Up to £50,000 + car/car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme
Location: Remote, with travel to offices as required (Oxford/Nuneaton)

About the Role:
As a Bid Manager, you will lead the development of competitive, winning proposals in warehousing and transport across various sectors. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team, ensuring proposals align with client specifications and company goals. You will manage all aspects of the bid process, ensuring timely, high-quality, customer-centric submissions that meet public and private sector requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading responses to public and private sector tenders, coordinating virtual teams including Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Commercial.
* Producing concise, persuasive, and customer-focused proposal documents, presentations, and submission materials.
* Overseeing bid production, ensuring all proposals meet client requirements and deadlines.
* Facilitating Value Proposition sessions to craft winning strategies and incorporate them into submissions.
* Managing key actions, outputs, and clarifications throughout the bid process, ensuring compliance and quality control.
* Leading tender review meetings, fostering collaboration among team members to refine proposals.
* Continuously improving bid processes and contributing to bid management initiatives across the organization.
About You:
* Proven experience managing bids, especially within the public and private sectors.
* Excellent writing skills, capable of crafting persuasive, high-level proposals.
* Strong verbal and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.
* Experience in stakeholder management, working with cross-functional teams to secure successful bids.
* Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
* A passion for supply chain logistics, with relevant experience or training (e.g., Shipley or APMP) in bid management being advantageous.
