Role Overview
The Maintenance Stores Coordinator is responsible for efficient and effective storage and coordination of spare parts. The aim is to have all the spare parts and tools, necessary for optimal factory performance, available as and when required. This is delivered with a lean perspective, weighing availability and reducing storage costs. The working environment includes direct contact with customers in maintenance (technicians, team leaders, reliability engineers, planners, and schedulers) as well as Operations teams.
As part of the project activities, the warehouse team supports the project teams to ensure an ideal storage of new materials in the storage system as well as selection of spare parts. This includes physical availability and correct documentation for future parts reorder.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage storage and administration of spare parts, maintaining accurate inventory lists through regular stock audits, reporting, and rationalizing obsolete or unused equipment.
* Oversee ordering of parts, ensuring receipt of high‑quality goods with the shortest possible delivery times and at the most competitive costs, preferably through single‑source suppliers.
* Maintain the stores warehouse, ensuring it is orderly, clean, and that parts are stored safely and hygienically in compliance with Mars MSE StockCoordinate parts distribution across the site, ensuring timely delivery to end users.
* Liaison with procurement companies.
* Optimize inventory levels in collaboration with the Maintenance Team Leader and Reliability Engineers to minimize costs while ensuring optimal parts availability and minimal stockholding.
* Utilize the SAP‑PM module efficiently to manage maintenance inventory and support maintenance operations.
* Lead the kitting process in partnership with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers to guarantee that all planned maintenance jobs have the necessary parts available in the workshop on the scheduled day.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems, demonstrating proficiency in maintenance management software.
* Strong technical knowledge and a solid understanding of equipment and machinery.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a proactive mindset and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
* Customer‑focused approach, ensuring excellent service and stakeholder satisfaction.
