Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (SEN Support) Location: Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire (NG10) Pay: £90 - £105 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent About the Role: We're working with a welcoming secondary school in the NG10 area of Derbyshire, recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school is well known for its inclusive ethos and strong sense of community. Staff and students work together in a positive, respectful environment and they're now looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team. This is a full-time role supporting students with additional needs. You'll be helping both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups across a range of subjects. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting students with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis Assisting with small group work to help pupils stay on track and engaged with learning Encouraging focus and participation during lessons Supporting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management Working closely with the SENDCO and wider support teamWhat We're Looking For: Previous experience supporting young people with SEN in a school or similar setting A confident, calm, and encouraging approach Comfortable working independently or as part of a team Strong communication skills and a proactive attitudeWhat's in it for You?
