We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Luton, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys lower Key Stage 2 and is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the curriculum, supporting pupils’ learning, personal development, and wellbeing. You will help pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience as they progress through Key Stage 2, preparing them for the challenges of upper KS2 and eventually SATs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum
* Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress to ensure achievement targets are met
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and vulnerable learners
* Promote positive behaviour, high expectations, and a growth mindset
* Create a well-structured, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues across the school
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on progress and support
* Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school-wide initiatives
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic learning
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety, and school policies
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 4
* Be confident in delivering a broad, balanced curriculum
* Have strong classroom management, organisational, and planning skills
* Be enthusiastic, approachable, and reflective in practice
* Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
* Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting pupil wellbeing
