Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant Needed

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £89 – £110 per day based on experience (paid weekly)

Are you a confident Welsh speaker who enjoys helping children learn and grow? A warm, supportive primary school in the Bridgend area is seeking an enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team this January.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to promote pupils’ learning through the Welsh language while gaining valuable experience in a classroom setting. No formal qualifications are required — just a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children.
Your Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support in Welsh
* Help prepare classroom resources and activities
* Encourage, motivate, and guide pupils to build their confidence
* Assist with supervision during lessons, activities, and break times
What We’re Looking For:
* Confident Welsh speaker (spoken and written)
* Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* A proactive, can-do attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience working with children (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
