Salary: £36,000 - £43,000 (Dependent on experience, qualifications & training)
OTE: £45,000 +

About the Role
A fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in commercial security systems. Your work will focus primarily on CCTV, access control, and intruder systems, with fire alarm knowledge considered a bonus—not a requirement. You'll operate across Birmingham and the West Midlands, with no out-of-town stays or hotel work, offering real work-life balance.

Responsibilities
* Installing commercial security systems to industry standards
* Servicing and maintaining CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
* Commissioning new systems and ensuring full operational performance
* Participating in a 1-in-10 call‑out rota (paid generously)
* Fault finding and diagnosing issues on a variety of commercial systems
* Providing a high level of customer service on client sites
* Ensuring all work meets industry regulations and internal procedures
* (Bonus) Supporting fire alarm‑related tasks if experienced
Requirements
* Strong technical experience across commercial security systems
* Skilled with CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control
* Relevant qualifications and manufacturer training (desirable)
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work independently across Birmingham & the West Midlands
* Full UK driving licenceFire alarm knowledge is a bonus, not essential
