Private Client Senior Associate/Partner Designate – Reading A leading Chambers-ranked Legal 200 law firm in Reading is looking for an experienced Senior Associate Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team, with a clear and supported route to Partnership. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Private Client Lawyer who wants to combine high-quality work, leadership responsibility and genuine career progression in a collaborative Thames Valley firm. The Role You will advise a loyal and high-net-worth client base on a broad range of private client matters, including: Wills and estate planning Trusts and inheritance tax planning Probate and estate administration Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) Court of Protection and mental capacity matters As a senior member of the team, you will also: Support the strategic growth of the Private Client department Mentor and supervise Junior Solicitors and Trainees Build and maintain strong client relationships Contribute to business development and networking initiatives What We’re Looking For You will likely have: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 10 years’ PQE in private client law Strong technical expertise in complex estates, trusts and tax planning Experience handling high-value probate and succession matters Excellent client care and relationship management skills Supervisory or mentoring experience within a legal team Ambition to progress to Partner level within a respected firm Experience with Court of Protection work would be advantageous but is not essential.
