The business has a turnover of circa £8M - £10M and delivers a diverse range of projects across commercial, industrial and public sector sectors, typically within a 1-hour radius of Bristol. Schemes range from £500k to £2.5M and include both groundworks packages and commercial build projects.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
* Manage the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks and commercial build projects (£500k - £2.5M)
* Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
* Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages
* Management of subcontractor accounts, variations and payments
* Cost planning, forecasting and monthly reporting
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
* Work closely with Site Managers and Directors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment
* Groundworks experience essential
* Experience working on projects between £500k - £2.5M advantageous
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and organisational ability
* Full UK driving licence
* Based within commuting distance of the Bristol area
