The Project: Mace provide PMO services (project controls, planning and scheduling, risk and change management) to a client who operates within the transport sector. Projects can vary from construction through to infrastructure work. Projects can be any type of civil engineering works including utilities, roads, walkways, bridges, through to bus depot's and metros. We may also be involved in refurbishment and new build construction work. Often, Mace are managing multiple projects at any one time with values ranging from hundreds of thousands of pounds to multi million pound projects. Exposure of having experience of working in the role on the above type of projects is essential. You will develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the Client and other project stakeholders, both internal and external. You'll be responsible for: Supporting the senior planning manager in the implementation and maintenance of project controls processes for scheduling, including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis. Collaborating with other disciplines of project controls, as well as other project support functions, to help deliver project goals in keeping with the client's principles of trust, transparency and teamwork. Maintaining an awareness of schedule interfaces with other programmes and their potential impact. Planning and managing the development, change and improvement of the client level 4 IMS and providing planning guidance to the project and programme team. Identifying, evaluating, and providing solutions to time-related issues and providing quality checks on the scheduling data. Assisting in the trend and change process, including analysis of schedule impact, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities. Providing fully resource programmes, produce resource histograms, resource level programmes, understand and communicate the effect on programme schedules to the project team. Incorporating appropriate financial data in the programme to produce a project cost/time distribution profile and communicate the results to the project team. Displaying and evaluating the project critical path and advise the project team of the results and any appropriate corrective action. Producing and maintaining project baselines and execute the change control process as appropriate. Producing project reports or data directly from the planning software arranging the data to align with the company accounting software. Understanding and reporting on a project using earned value analysis techniques and interpret/communicate the results and any corrective action to the project team. You'll need to have: You have a HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or another related field. You have a detailed understanding of scheduling methodologies and techniques. You have a technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement and construction methods and techniques in a UK context. You have the ability to produce accurate, complete and fully logic-linked construction plans. You have experience and knowledge in the use of scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6 version 7 and above. You have experience on a major construction project. You can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have proven project management or project controls experience in a similar scheduling role in a construction or consultancy background across large scale construction or infrastructure projects.
