A great opportunity has arisen within the Electrical Department of a well-established vehicle manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.
The Role:
Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Manager, you will be involved in the build and assembly of high-quality, in-house designed trailer chassis, decks, and associated components. This is a varied role working on low-volume, high-specification vehicles for major blue-chip clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation and maintenance of electrical systems on commercial trailers
* Fault finding and diagnostics across a range of vehicle electrical systems
* Working from technical drawings and wiring schematics
* Assisting in the assembly of bespoke trailer components
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong understanding of auto electrical systems
* Proven fault-finding and diagnostic ability
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
* Competent in the use of hand and air tools
* Good mechanical knowledge
* Flexible and adaptable approach
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* High standards of quality and workmanship
* Good awareness of health and safety responsibilities
