Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker (Ad Hoc / Bank)
Location: Fife, Perth & Dundee
Salary: £15p/h - £23p/h (PAYE)
Contract: Flexible / Bank
Hours: Variable shift work and block bookings available
About the Role:
21 Health and Social Care is actively recruiting experienced and compassionate Residential Childcare Workers on an ad hoc / bank basis to support a variety of clients across Residential Childcare. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working arrangements while making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
Our clients include a wide range of residential childcare providers supporting young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in residential settings
Support with day-to-day routines including personal care, education, activities, and emotional support
Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment
Work collaboratively with permanent staff and external professionals
Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans and organisational policies
Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and healthy relationships
What Were Looking For:
Experience working in a residential childcare or similar care setting is essential
Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches
Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff
Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly
SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) & HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable
SSSC registration (or willingness to register) required
PVG Scheme membership required (or willingness to join)
