Trainee Decontamination Technician

Part Time - 20 Hours
Hours - 4pm until 9pm including weekends (on rotation)
We are inviting applications for the position of Trainee Decontamination Technician. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is based at Ramsay Sterile Services East Midlands in Kettering.
In April 2023, we opened a new Decontamination Hub in Kettering, and we are seeking staff to join this exciting development! The purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility will provide efficient decontamination services to 9 Ramsay Hospital sites, operating 24/5 with weekend cover. Full training will be provided.
This opportunity is ideal for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with an eye for detail and a desire to make a difference. During training, you will report to a Decontamination Technician Supervisor, with opportunities to undertake an apprenticeship now or in the future. This role is a starting point for a successful career in medical device decontamination, with potential for progression to senior roles within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing the full decontamination cycle on re-usable medical devices (surgical instruments) to the highest standards, following all Ramsay policies and procedures.
* Participating fully in quality control processes, ensuring all procedures and documentation are completed accurately.
