Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join a growing team in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, producing actionable insights, and supporting business decision-making across multiple departments.
This role is ideal for a data professional who is comfortable working with stakeholders, presenting findings clearly, and translating data into meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
* Collect, clean, and analyse structured and unstructured datasets
* Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decisions
* Deliver actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
Reporting & Visualisation
* Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
* Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for senior stakeholders
* Translate complex data findings into clear, understandable insights
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
* Support departments with data-driven recommendations
* Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Data Governance & Best Practices
* Follow data governance, security, and compliance standards
* Maintain documentation for datasets, reports, and processes
* Support continuous improvement of data analysis processes
Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)
* 1–4+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
* Strong experience with:
* SQL for data extraction and analysis
* Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
* Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
* Solid understanding of:
* Data analysis methodologies
* Data quality and validation practices
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
* Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
* Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS – advantage)
* Experience working in Agile or cross-functional environments
* Exposure to data warehousing or ETL processes
Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in:
* Data Analytics
* Computer Science
* IT
* Mathematics
* Or a related field
* Relevant certifications (advantage):
* Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
* Google Data Analytics
* IBM Data Analyst or equivalent
