Salary: £31,650 - £47,338 p.a. (M1- UPS2)(additional responsibility allowance of £2,750)
Hours:40 hours per week

We’re currently looking for an ICT & Computing Teacherto provide outstanding teaching and leadership to their class teams. The successful candidate will support to embed the vision, direction and culture that inspires staff teams to work together to provide the highest standards of education and care.
Part of the Aurora Group, Aurora Eccles School in Quidenham, Norwichprovides day placements for students aged 11 to 16 years primarily with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.
With small classes, a maximum of 10 students and a minimum of 3 staff per class, you can focus on the needs of each student. There is a clinical team onsite to support you and your class, and you will have the support of a highly experienced and stable SLT. All of our students have their own laptop available in class.

As an IT Teacher; your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum which you will have the flexibility to adapt, to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.
* Plan, teach, and assess ICT and computing lessons across our age, ability and need range: pre-entry up to GCSE.
* Support our students to become digitally literate
* Collaborate with our PSHRE leader to ensure e-Safety requirements and goals are well met
* To facilitate this, you’ll plan and deliver lessons according to current best practice and the school’s policies and be responsible for the day to day running of the class and other relevant aspects of the running of the school.
* You will be supporting students to a range of outcomes up to and including higher grade GCSEs.
* You’ll supervise and provide support and guidance to our Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants and play a key role in their Professional Development Reviews.
Naturally, you will take responsibility for implementing school policies and practices, including those relating to safeguarding and equality of opportunity. Strong relationships form the foundation of our work, which will include significant liaison with parents and carers.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant subject
* QTS or QTLS (essential). ECTs considered.
* Experience of teaching ICT and computer science across the full secondary age range.
* Experience of teaching pupils with SEN and working from EHCP documents.
* Understanding of the safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
* Ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with young people.
* A flexible approach, a high level of creativity and the ability to adapt dynamically to meet needs as they arise.
Desired
* Great track record in preparing students for both computer science and functional ICT qualifications.
* Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt this for pupils with SEND.
* Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, to include the students with anxiety and SEND.
* Experience of multi-sensory teaching.
Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are strongly advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
