SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Temporary, till the end of the academic year with potential extension
GSL Education is in search of a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of a GOOD-rated primary school in Dartford. This position, available for an immediate start, provides a competitive daily rate and the opportunity for contract extension contingent on performance. In the role of SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting students with special educational needs across KS1 and KS2, offering crucial support.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Main Class Support: Provide classroom support as a main class SEN Teaching Assistant, focusing on KS1 and KS2.
* Dedicated SEN Support: Work one-on-one or in small groups with children undergoing assessment for special educational needs.
* Maths and Phonics Assistance: Provide focused Maths and Phonics support to children requiring additional help.
* Progress Assessment: Monitor and assess pupil progress, collaborating with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to discuss developmental strategies.
* CPD Participation: Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to enhance skills and knowledge, with accreditation provided.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience as a main class Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
* Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or L2/L3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred, but not essential.
* SEN Experience: Strong experience with special educational needs in educational, pastoral, or personal settings is highly regarded.
* DBS: Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
* Eligibility: Right to work in the UK.
