We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, including loading and unloading goods, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organised warehouse environment. Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
* Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage stock
* Perform materials handling tasks, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipping
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that all items are handled with care
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with forklift operation and safety protocols
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (e.g., AS400) is advantageous
* Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role
* Experience in construction or similar fields is a plus
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
