As an Account Director you are the key contact point for clients and would play a direct role in the growth and success of the agency. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic, able to inspire teams and instil confidence in clients. A real understanding of and interest in the built environment and property sector is crucial.


About You

* An exceptional corporate PR handler with unrivalled media relations and a solid understanding of other comms tactics including social media and public affairs
* Solid background in the property sector, with political awareness, a growing network, and excellent business and property press contacts
* Ability to manage and support junior staff
* Strong client management skills, serving as a trusted advisor and main point of contact
* Responsible for involving senior team members when appropriate to provide strategic guidance
* Confident in managing media crises and trusted with highly sensitive information
* Skilled at problem-solving and guiding clients through complex situations
* A keen eye for content strategy and execution, underpinned by a strong understanding of your clients’ markets
* Proactive in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to overall business growth
* Hands‑on approach with a willingness to go above and beyond
* Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Representing LCA externally and using your own profile to support the agency’s visibility and growth
* A fantastic communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
* Bringing something unique to LCA, adding value beyond managing accounts and securing new business


About the Role


Client Work

* Act as the primary contact for clients, providing strategic guidance, leading meetings, and remaining accessible as needed
* Bring in the wider LCA team at key points to offer strategic insight
* Devise and execute complex communications strategies, maintaining composure and sound judgment under pressure
* Lead projects of varying scales - from small, fixed term project briefs to major retainers
* Take accountability for all deliverables from the entire account team, including support functions
* Review and edit written materials, overseeing drafts produced by others and ensuring all client outputs are error‑free


Management

* Motivate and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development
* Conduct appraisals for at least two junior colleagues, helping them develop and upskill
* Share knowledge across the agency by running masterclasses or identifying relevant training opportunities and external speakers
* Ensure daily and accurate logging of time on client timesheets
* Help manage budgets and oversee client billing, including reviewing timesheets and supporting Directors with monthly forecasting
* Take a strategic view to ensure projects remain within budget, assisting with out‑of‑scope work communications, additional fee proposals, and over‑servicing analysis in collaboration with the Finance Team
