Senior Accountant – Northampton – c£45K

The Role
You’ll work closely with a Partner and be involved in managing a portfolio of SME clients — typically sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
This is a varied position that combines technical work with client‑facing responsibilities and people management. Key aspects include:
* Supporting the Partner in managing client relationships
* Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax work
* Helping to supervise and mentor junior team members
* Assisting in the future development of the firm, including business advisory work and (eventually) business development
* Audit is a minor part of the role so audit experience would be beneficial
About You
You will be ACA / ACCA qualified (or a finalist) with a general practice background and have experience in dealing with the audit, accounting and tax requirements for small owner‑managed businesses. Audit side is essential though not a major part of the role. Experience in business development or enthusiasm to be involved is a plus and mentoring will be provided.
