Job Title: Key Account Manager
Reports to: Group Head of Sales
My client is a global leader in high-performance rooftop waterproofing systems. With headquarters in the UK and Ireland, we are renowned for delivering innovative, long-lasting solutions backed by exceptional technical support. We partner with a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients across the globe and are continuously evolving to remain at the forefront of the industry.
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Key Account Manager to drive growth within the UK refurbishment market. This role will be central to building and managing strategic customer relationships, developing project specifications, and promoting my client full suite of roofing systems to contractors, architects, specifiers, engineers, and building owners.
As the primary contact for refurbishment stakeholders, you will ensure an exceptional end-to-end service experience, contributing directly to commercial success and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Account Management
* Deliver annual financial targets and KPI objectives
* Manage key customer relationships and structured account plans
* Grow existing accounts and identify new opportunities in the refurbishment sector
* Act as the main UK point of contact for refurbishment contractors
* Collaborate closely with the Group Head of Sales on strategy and execution
Project & Specification Management
* Review and develop refurbishment project specifications with technical teams
* Manage project pipeline and maintain accurate CRM/project tracking
* Coordinate product requirements and quotations with internal teams and supply partners
* Work to support timely and accurate tender responses
* Engage directly with contractors to support project delivery and feedback
* Support major refurbishment and retrofit projects nationwide
* Gather market intelligence including competitor analysis and emerging trends
* Attending industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
Technical Support & Delivery
* Provide detailed handovers to Field Technicians for site delivery
* Assist in managing technical queries, warranty concerns, and issue resolution
* Ensure seamless project support and uphold specification compliance
Reporting & Communication
* Submit weekly activity and performance reports
* Attend sales meetings and contribute ideas for improvement and innovation
* Maintain strong relationships with end-user clients
* Ensure compliance with company processes and H&S standards
Experience & Skills
* 3+ years' experience in a client-facing role within construction, building materials, or technical project delivery
* Proven success managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional projects
* Strong experience working with contractors, architects, and technical consultants
* Excellent communication, planning, and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, commercially minded, and capable of working autonomously
