Were looking for a talented Data & Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data Insight & Analytics team and play a key role in shaping how we use data across our retail operations. In this role, youll design and build scalable data solutions that connect our systems, enabling powerful analytics and automation across the business. From developing cloud‑based data pipelines in Azure to delivering intuitive Power BI dashboards, youll transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insight that drives business performance. Youll also support the development of an advanced analytics platform, influencing how we use data to make smarter decisions and continuously improve our services. Youll work at the heart of our analytics capability, leading the development of data models, reporting solutions and automated workflows. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, youll translate business needs into effective data solutions, ensuring our reporting is insightful, reliable and future‑ready. Day to day, youll design and deploy Azure‑based data solutions, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, and enhance reporting through automation using the Microsoft Power Platform. Youll also take ownership of data quality, governance and performance, ensuring everything you deliver is robust, scalable and aligned to business needs. Youll be based at our Shelton site in Shrewsbury. Youll work within our dedicated Data Analytics team and with this being such a critical role, were looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

You’ll bring strong expertise in SQL, including data warehousing, advanced querying, and optimisation techniques such as indexing, triggers and functions, alongside solid Python skills (ideally with PySpark). You’ll have a good understanding of building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines and be confident working with modern data visualisation tools like Power BI. Experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview is important, as is hands‑on experience delivering cloud‑based data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure (including Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage) or equivalent platforms. Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
