Role Overview
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and academic excellence. You will join a collaborative and supportive team with access to excellent resources and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
* Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
* Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
* Use diverse teaching strategies and assessment methods to promote progress and attainment.
* Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
* Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
* Implement tailored interventions for pupils needing additional support.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil performance and contribute to reports for parents and school leadership.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
* Establish and uphold high expectations for behaviour, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
* Implement the school’s behaviour policies effectively to promote responsibility and mutual respect.
* Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage motivation and engagement.
Collaboration & Professional Development
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
* Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
* Engage with parents and carers to strengthen home-school partnerships and support pupil well-being.
School Contribution
* Support and participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
* Champion the school's values and ethos, contributing positively to the school community.
* Proactively identify opportunities for school improvement and innovation.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching in a primary school, preferably in Key Stage 2.
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to fostering a love of learning and setting high expectations for all pupils.
* Experience in a diverse, multicultural school environment.
* A track record of raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
* Knowledge of SEND and EAL strategies.
* Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
