Cover Supervisor (Unqualified Teacher) – Secondary school in South Gloucestershire
The School

A large setting for students 11-16 with a high-achieving Sixth Form. You will be joining a school with a strong leadership team and wide network of education support that has a refreshing community approach to working together for the best outcomes for all children and young people.
Pay: £100–£140 per day (Dependent on experience)
Contract: Part time Monday - Wednesday 815am - 330pm
Start Date: Monday 20th April (Closing date Monday 30th March at midday)
What you'll be doing:
* Stepping into lessons across a range of subjects (no lesson planning required)
* Delivering pre-set work and keeping students engaged
* Managing behaviour in a calm, confident way, communicating with warmth and consistency
* Building quick rapport with students, keeping relationships encouraging, professional and productive
Experience that works well in this role:
* Sports coaching or youth work – if you can manage a football team, you can manage a class
* Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor experience – already familiar with the school atmosphere? Even better
* Delivering presentations to large groups, particularly of children/teens
* Drama, tutoring, Scouts/Guides leadership – anything that involves leading, guiding, and keeping young minds focused

* Someone with a warm, encouraging, positive nature
* Flexible and reliable, eager to support the schools in your area when they need you
* Good sense of humour and a calm approach to challenges
* Degree not essential, but it’s a bonus
