Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - Surrey Are you passionate about empowering children and young people with complex needs to thrive? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to join our amazing and supportive team at a residential special school in Lingfield. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of pupils aged 4 to 19, including those with epilepsy, autism, learning difficulties, and complex neurological conditions. Our personalised, three-tiered curriculum, structured across Infant, Lower & Middle, and 16-19 Provisions, adapts to our pupils' unique needs, fostering consistent growth, confidence, and achievement. In our 16-19 Provision, students follow accredited courses focused on life skills, independence, and preparation for adulthood. You'll be an integral part of our dedicated team, benefiting from a multi-disciplinary approach that ensures holistic and consistent support. You'll work closely with teachers and on site therapists including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, an educational psychologist, and a play therapist. Your Role: Making a Difference Every Day As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be instrumental in creating a positive and effective learning environment: Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and support pupil learning. Pupil Champion: Provide individualised support, helping pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and personal care needs. Engaging Learning: Contribute to making learning exciting and accessible for every pupil. Why Join Our Team? What We're Looking For A genuine passion for working with children with special needs and a desire to make a difference. GCSEs in Maths and English (Level 2/Grade C or above). A strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures. Access to your own transport.
