Curriculum Support Assistant (CSA) – 37 hours per week term time 193 days (Grade LG5)
You will join an enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team who provide high quality and effective support for pupils with a range of additional educational needs in a department with strong leadership. Our support ranges from pupils with language and communication difficulties, including pupils on the autistic spectrum, to pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, learning difficulties or physical difficulties. You will have a keen interest in working with pupils with additional needs to achieve positive outcomes in this inclusive environment. Knowledge and understanding of behaviour management and how to use scaffolding and visual strategies in class to support pupils is essential.
You will provide subject specific interventions to small groups and on a 1:1 basis. In addition, you will become the key worker for a number of pupils with additional needs. You will support them to access their academic curriculum and the wider school community. This will include developing effective working relationships with parents/carers and additional agencies, promoting a multi-agency approach to pupil support.
Applications for this post are invited from people who are keen to join an organisation that is recognised for the high quality care and support it provides for its pupils and staff, its committed staff team and the drive to raise standards at all levels.
