We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a newly established therapeutic children's residential home in Beckenham, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a new children's service from the ground up—driving the home’s registration, developing a dedicated care team, and ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic and trauma-informed care.
As Service Manager of this children’s residential home, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering impactful, high-quality care and making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on the registration of the home with Ofsted and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the home as Home Manager, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
* Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing residential care team
* Implement and monitor individual care plans in line with each child’s emotional, social, and developmental needs
* Liaise effectively with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families, and partner agencies
* Promote a culture of safeguarding, therapeutic support, and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial or deputy managerial role within a children’s residential EBD setting
* Proven knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks
* Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred practice
