We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Fitness & Lettings Assistant, working alongside our Fitness & Lettings Officers at Plympton Academy in the Thinking Fitness gym, and supporting with school lettings.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop experience in the leisure industry while working as part of a supportive team. You’ll be assisting with the day-to-day running of the gym and facilities, helping ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Fitness Supervision: Assist in overseeing gym activity, encourage safe use of equipment, and help maintain cleanliness and organisation.
* Customer Support: Welcome and assist members and facility users, respond to general enquiries, and provide friendly, helpful service.
* Operational Assistance: Support the officer with opening and closing procedures, monitoring site access, and maintaining health and safety standards.
* Lettings Assistance: Help prepare spaces for bookings and events, ensuring facilities are set up correctly and bookings run smoothly.
You’ll be working alongside an experienced Fitness & Lettings Officer and will be supported in learning the ropes of both fitness supervision and site operations.
