The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Business Partner to support strategic decision-making within one of our key business divisions. This role acts as the bridge between finance and operations, providing financial insights and ensuring robust forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. It requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong communication skills to guide non-finance stakeholders and senior leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting strategic decisions with financial modelling and impact analysis
* Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts
* Partnering with business units on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
* Performing variance analysis and identifying risks/opportunities
* Leading financial scenario analysis to support business cases
* Managing cashflow forecasts and reconciliations
* Posting journals, accruals, and intercompany transactions
* Collaborating with the wider finance team on reporting and cost control
* Driving improvements in tools, processes, and systems
* Participate in finance related projects
Who you are
You are a qualified finance professional with a strong track record in business partnering. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can translate complex financial data into actionable insights. You have the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders, and you're always looking for ways to improve processes and add value.
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
* Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
* Commercial acumen and analytical mindset
* Treasury and cashflow management knowledge (desirable)
* BA in Finance, Accounting or related field with a background in transport (desirable)
