Logistics done differently. How would you like to work for a company that can accelerate your career? Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Night Transport Operative to join us on a permanent basis at our site in Robertsbridge, working Mon to Fri.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re offering a salary of up to £32,100 per annum. 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), option to buy additional days. Access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day
* Be the primary contact point for customers and haulier partners
* Provide customers with updates and ETAs throughout the day
* Work with a team ethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers
* Manage POD returns
* Attend daily planning call to discuss any issues
* To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
* Work with the Finance Team to resolve customer and haulier issues.
* Effective record keeping and reporting
* Invoice backhaul work completed
* Updating of all trackers to confirm all deliveries are completed as planned
* A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.
* Ensuring effective and efficient use of the transport planning systems adopting best practise and general housekeeping.
What you need to succeed at XPO
* An understanding of transport sector
* Excellent communication skills you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
* Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
* The ability to work to deadlines efficiently and effectively
* Experience within a customer service environment
