Pupil Unit Teacher Location: York Pay: £135–£200 per day Start Date: Asap Hours: ad hock to full time We are recruiting a Pupil Unit Teacher / SEMH Teacher to work with pupils in SEMH and Pupil Referral Unit settings. You will plan and deliver lessons across multiple subjects while supporting behaviour and emotional development. Responsibilities Plan and deliver lessons tailored to SEMH pupils Monitor and track academic progress and wellbeing Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Build strong relationships to encourage engagement and confidence Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and leadership Promote inclusion across classrooms and school Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) Experience teaching SEMH / PRU pupils Strong behaviour management skills Calm, patient, and consistent approach Excellent communication and teamworking skills What We Offer £135–£200 per day depending on experience and qualifications Weekly pay CPD and ongoing support Supportive specialist school environment Opportunities for career development and permanent roles To apply: education@castle-employment.co.uk
