Working alongside our dispatch and transport teams, you will be driving a modern vehicle for a professional organisation.
Main Responsibilities of a Class 2 Driver include:
* Operating a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries from our Worley Depot of both carcass and boxed meat products.
* Assisting in the loading process, ensuring it is done accurately and securely.
* Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
* Completing all required paperwork accurately.
* Promptly reporting any vehicle issues.
* Ensuring full compliance with transport legislation.
* Communicating effectively with dispatchers and colleagues regarding delays or issues.
* Upholding high standards of customer service.
We welcome applications from candidates with skills in: Class 2 driving, distribution, logistics, customer service, communication, supplier management, transport legislation, and loading.
Essential requirements include:
* A full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
* Class 2 licence with a minimum of 6 months' experience.
* Flexibility regarding working hours.
* Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
* Good understanding of driver regulations and working directives.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to handle manual handling roles.
* Good communication skills.
* Experience in a fast-paced transport environment.
* Reliability and flexibility with working hours.
* Good literacy, timekeeping, and attendance.
