Position: Road Freight Operations Account Manager
Location: Wythenshawe
Hours: Mon - Fri, 9:00 - 17:30 (Flexible start and finish times)
Hybrid working: 2 days from home, 3 office-based
Salary: Up to £34,000 (Negotiable) + bonuses

Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end road freight operations for a portfolio of clients
* Act as the primary contact for customer accounts, ensuring service excellence
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
* Negotiate rates with hauliers and suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions
* Provide quotations and track market trends to remain competitive
* Coordinate collections and deliveries across the UK and Europe
* Monitor and resolve operational issues, ensuring on-time performance
* Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for shipments
* Collaborate with internal teams to support account growth and retention
* Support the sales team during client visits and account reviews
Qualifications
* Previous experience in road freight forwarding/operations
* Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills
* Confident in managing accounts and building long-term relationships
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
* A proactive problem-solver who can stay calm under pressure
