Role Overview:
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Lettings Lead to join our Housing and Communities team, as one of our new housing services leads.
As an expert in lettings, you’ll drive service transformation and provide advice and casework support on complex lettings and allocations decisions.
This is a roam role, so you’ll work mainly from home and at least one day a week from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the escalation point for customer or partner issues relating to lettings, using your knowledge to deliver great outcomes for customers.
* Build and develop close working relationships with local authorities, partners, and regulators on nominations and allocations compliance.
* Lead on continuously improving our lettings service using customer feedback and insight. You’ll monitor performance on empty homes turnaround and allocations, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
* Responsible for auditing lettings and allocation performance, ensuring fairness, transparency, and adherence to policy.
* Embed your expertise by providing training and guidance to colleagues on lettings practices, covering transfers, local lettings, and new developments.
* Leading or support projects focused on lettings system improvements, process change, or digital adoption.
About You:
* Great at building relationships, you’ll have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with local authorities and statutory agencies on allocation agreements.
* Experience of auditing, reviewing processes, and embedding improvements.
* Extensive knowledge of lettings and allocations law, policy, and best practice.
* It would be a bonus if you have experience of knowledge of choice-based lettings systems and customer access approaches.
* Comfortable with training, mentoring, and supporting colleagues, driving consistency and performance improvement.
