The Tech & Data department (~200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide.
The Tech & Data department is an Agile organization relying on 4 pillars: Data and System Engineering, Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems, Technical, Transversal Functional Domains made of Crews, being a group of Squads (product-oriented).
Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Cloud, Architecture, DevOps, …) and both Technical and M&C teams fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.
The Cat Systems team is part of the ‘Pricing and Modelling Crew’ and are responsible for the provision and evolution of the applications related to the processing of catastrophe data that supports the functions of pricing, global accumulation, and capital modelling.
The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of loss modelling tools/processes, pricing, and accumulation information systems in the domain of (re)insurance.
They will work with the product owners (PO) to deliver the roadmap of future enhancements and deliver services to the user base. The Solution Owner is accountable for the product delivery and quality of the solutions delivered.
They will work with the business and IT squads to understand the requirements and communicate the solutions to the development team. Managing the relationship with the 3rd party supplier and internal resources.
1. Understand and be able to challenge business requirements.
2. Lead software development efforts using different Agile approaches.
3. Manage service evolutions, for both feature and corrective maintenance and organise support activities.
4. Support the evolution of the global software architecture, in collaboration with the Architecture and Cloud Chapters Describe the product roadmap and integration with the business roadmap.
5. Ensure overall quality & efficiency of service delivered, from build to run phases.
6. Assist the IT Crew Lead in building the team in collaboration with the different Chapters.
7. 3-5 years of experience as a team manager or similar responsibilities
8. Proven track record in team and project management as part of an international environment
9. Knowledge of the Reinsurance business and/or the financial services industry is a benefit
10. Strong IT background with good understanding of: DevOps, APIs, microservice architecture etc.
11. Excellent level in English
12. IT degree or equivalent
