Grant Thornton UK has recently taken investment to support growth. The Financial Reporting & Accounting team is expanding to manage increased reporting requirements, including the firm’s year-end financial reporting, external audit, the Annual Report, ESG reporting and providing complex financial information to external and internal stakeholders including the Strategic Leadership Team and the Board.
The team aims to maintain high quality, improve ways of working, and bring simplicity to complexity. This Executive role is at the heart of the team, supporting management as we grow, ensuring the quality of information produced, and exploring digital solutions to improve efficiency.
A look into the role
Responsibilities
* Work independently to produce high-quality information for manager review, with agility to take on new challenges as the team grows.
* Focus on ESG reporting and involvement in routine annual reporting and other ad hoc tasks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across internal teams to contribute to ESG reporting.
* Explore and implement digital tools to improve reporting processes; challenge status quo and drive efficient changes.
* Adapt and prioritise requests to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Develop professionally and support peers through collaboration and feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
* Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA, AAT), ideally with post-qualification experience.
* Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
* Experience with Microsoft packages and digital solutions to improve processes.
* Interest in ESG and an understanding of carbon reporting is desirable but not essential.
