Location: Frankley, Birmingham
Hours: 37 hours/week, 07:00-16:45, Monday – Thursday
Position Summary
This role involves preparing and painting buoyancy modules made from syntactic foams, contributing to a new business section with automotive-level finish standards.
Main Responsibilities
* Prepare materials and mask/protect parts for painting.
* Fill cavities and dents with putty for smooth surfaces.
* Perform de-nibbing and fine sanding as part of a 4-stage paint process.
* Mix paints and coatings to specifications and desired colours.
* Paint surfaces using sprayers or brushes.
* Inspect finished units for quality and finish.
* Maintain tools and equipment.
* Follow safety protocols and wear PPE, including respirators.
* Keep work area clean and comply with safety regulations regarding hazardous materials.
Qualifications & Experience
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar paint spraying role.
* GCSEs in English and Maths Grade C (5) or above.
* Preferably experience in an automotive environment.
