The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Maidstone area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am till 18:00pm
Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £23.43ph PAYE
Location: Maidstone, ME20
Job Type: Ongoing (temp to perm)
The role:
* Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
* Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
* Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
* Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
* Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
* Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement.
* 12 months experience required.
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A safety-first mindset.
