We welcome applications from third year Trainee Educational Psychologists.

At Bracknell Forest, we pride ourselves on being a council which is stable and well-managed where our employees can thrive in a supportive environment. About the team…

The Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a small, highly skilled team of Educational Psychologists who work collaboratively with children, young people, their families and other professionals across a range of settings. We have regular face to face team meetings in our central Bracknell office in addition to regular peer supervision and continuous professional development opportunities. We actively encourage collaborative working with fellow Educational Psychologists and colleagues across the local authority.

Key responsibilities…

* Provide a traded service to link education settings alongside delivering a free systemic offer that is available to all education settings.
* Deliver core EPS commissions within the Council (Virtual School, Social Care and Early Help) and lead on a variety of strategic projects (ELSA, PINS, parent/carer helpline).
* Shape and innovate strategy including supporting the SEND Priority Action Plan and Health Transformation Programme within the Council and across the wider community.
* Provide high-quality psychological advice as part of statutory EHC needs assessments.
* Contribute to SEND decision making groups by advocating for children and young people and contributing a psychological viewpoint.

Our benefits…

* 28 days annual leave increasing to 33 days after 3 years’ continuous service, with the opportunity to buy up to 10 and sell up to 5 days.
* Hybrid working opportunities to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
