We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Gartree, a Category B prison in Leicestershire. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop the Psychology services on site, working alongside an experienced integrated mental health team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Psychologist familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity, and historic trauma. Applicants must be familiar with trauma-informed approaches and enjoy working as part of a team.
Hours
To be worked between Monday to Friday, 3 days at HMP Gartree.
Responsibilities
1. Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) through training, supervision, and reflective practice.
2. Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multidisciplinary formulations.
3. Deliver and oversee 1:1 psychological interventions and group interventions as part of the Trauma-Informed 'Making Sense' Programme.
4. Provide teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required.
5. Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research activities.

Candidate Requirements
* Qualified clinical, counselling, or forensic psychologist.
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Postgraduate qualification in a psychological therapy relevant to severe and long-standing mental health difficulties.
* Experience providing evidence-based psychological interventions.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and trauma-informed practice.

Role Details
This is a part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week, with an annual salary of up to £65,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
