Role Description
Role: Confidential Aerospace Tech – R&D Intern (Course-Required Work Placement)
About: This remote, educational placement supports early development of space-tech software systems — approaches to simulation, control systems, and mission data handling.
What you’ll do
* Assist in designing and developing prototype software modules for space-tech R&D
* Execute and analyse simulation tests
* Document processes, results, and technical challenges
* Support integration and troubleshooting under supervision
* Collaborate with hardware/systems teams
* Contribute to research and design reviews
You bring
* Understanding of software or control systems development
* Interest in aerospace/satellite/robotics
* Basic debugging/problem-solving skills
* Willingness to learn simulation/testing methods
* Strong documentation/collaboration
* Independent, reliable, remote-ready
* Relevant study or self-taught experience (Aerospace, Software, Physics)

* Duration: Flexible, part-time (6–8 weeks minimum)
* Type: Remote, unpaid educational placement (course-required); expenses covered
* Eligibility: Current UK FE/HE students whose course formally requires a placement (evidence will be requested)
* Confidentiality: NDA required prior to any technical materials
* Outcome: Certificate of completion + reference
