Position: Electronics Hardware Design EngineerLocation: Abingdon, OxfordshireSalary: £40,000-£45,000 paEmployment: Permanent F/TAre you a creative problem solver who enjoys the physics and mathematical challenges design brings? We seek an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer with a passion for the design of embedded systems and automatic test equipment.This all-encompassing role will focus your responsibilities on the design and development of Digital and Analogue circuits for a variety of innovative projects. Reporting to the Technical Manager your technical input will require you to have a good level of understanding of electronic hardware and embedded software principles.Youll have experience ofDesigning Digital and Analogue Electronic circuitsUsing Analogue to Digital converters (ADC's), 16/24-bit typesEmbedded Software developmentUsing 16/32-bit Microcontrollers (PICS / MSP430 / Cortex)Using Schematic Capture & PCB layout toolsA good, working knowledge of using Op Amp Circuits, Oscillator Circuits An understanding of Low Noise design techniquesElectro-Mechanical Principles (using Motors, Actuators & Sensors)Desirable RequirementsExperience with using PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and writing programs either in Ladder Logic or Structured Text.Experience with using LabVIEW software and hardware under the National Instruments eco system.A reasonable knowledge of Control Systems EngineeringA good understanding of Test & Measurement PrinciplesExperience championing initiatives that will reduce our carbon footprint and development costs.Benefits28 days annual leavePensionOnsite Gym facilitiesRestaurant / Sandwich bars and coffee shops on site.Free Parking.
