Morson Edge are currently seeking a Configuration Engineer to work on the behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Yeovil, Somerset.
Are you a pro-active and enthusiastic professional with experience in Configuration Management? We are looking for someone to join our dynamic team at the Home of British Helicopters, based in Yeovil.
Working with SAP 500 to progress and agree modifications, you'll be interfacing with stakeholders across all multiple business functions to discharge our Configuration Management processes and activities. You will be owning responsibility for achieving accurate configuration data from the point of requirement identification, definition and design through to operational implementation, ensuring the integrity of the product design.
As a Configuration Management Engineer you will:
Drive the achievement of configuration deliverables (configuration management plans and other configuration documentation)
Manage and monitor change requests and change collectors driving the timely progression from point of initiation through to operational implementation
Deliver timely Configuration Management reports & management information, including configuration status reports, KPIs and trackers in line with a defined frequency
Act as the client point of contact at internal and external customer meetings
Provide configuration technical support to functional areas, to control the modification state of the product and its support equipment
To succeed as a Configuration Management Engineer we need you to have:
Knowledge of, or experience in, configuration management principles and processes
Ability to prioritise and deliver your own workload
Good interpersonal, facilitation and problem solving skills
Good communication skills – Verbal, Written, Electronic
High concern for detail and quality
High degree of IT literacy (Excel, Power BI)
Site based
12 month contract initially
37 hours per week
